The 2014-15 academic year was a banner one for Benedictine University Athletics, as 157 Student-Athletes have been recognized for academic achievement through the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference, Midwest Lacrosse Conference, Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference, and Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League.

The NACC Scholar-Athlete Award is presented to all student-athletes in NACC sponsored sports who achieved a GPA of at least 3.25. This year, 133 Eagles earned this distinction from the NACC, which includes Baseball, Men's and Women's Basketball, Men's and Women's Cross Country, Football, Men's and Women's Golf, Men's and Women's Soccer, Tennis, Men's and Women's Track and Field, Softball, and Women's Volleyball. A list of all BenU recepients can be found here.

A record 11 Men's Lacrosse student-athletes received all-academic honors from the Midwest Lacrosse Conference for 2014-15 as well. Award recepients must carry a 3.30 GPA to earn this honor. Benedictine's 11 honorees can be seen here.

The Benedictine Women's Lacrosse team also recieved plenty of academic honors, as six Eagles were named all-academic by the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference. Like the MLC, student-athletes must hold a 3.30 GPA to recieve the honor from the MWLC.

In its inagural season as a program, seven BenU Men's Volleybal players received all-academic honors from the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League. A 3.30 GPA is also required to receive all-academic honors by the MCVL.

As a department, BenU student-athletes earned an impressive 3.00 cumulative grade point average for the school year. An astounding 14 programs posted cumulative GPAs above 3.00: Women's Cross Country, Women's Track and Field, Women's Soccer, Women's Volleyball, Pep Band, Dance, Women's Tennis, Softball, Women's Basketball, Women's Golf, Baseball, Men's Volleyball, Men's Cross Country, and Men's Golf.
