Parking
Parking is free. All patrons should park in the Rice Center/Neuzil Hall Parking lot.

Benedictine University Police Department: Tailgating Policy
• Designated tailgating areas are the Rice Parking Lot, with the Krasa Center Parking Lot as an alternative location. Tailgating open and close times will be posted on the University's website, as well as the time to cease all consumption of alcoholic beverages.
• All individuals are responsible for compliance with local and state laws governing alcohol consumption, possession and delivery of alcoholic beverages.
• All Benedictine University Students are subject to conduct policy and sanctions, as outlined in the Student Handbook.
• All persons consuming and/or in possession of alcoholic beverages in the designated tailgating areas, shall carry a government issued picture ID that also shows the person's birth date.
• Glass bottles and kegs are prohibited.  Party balls, bongs, funnels, or any device used to increase consumption of alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the designated tailgating areas and shall be removed from the property, disposed of by the owner and/or secured by the owner, making them inaccessible.
• Conduct and deportment which is disruptive to the safety and enjoyment of others may result in removal from the campus and the issuance of a Trespass Notice.  Disruptive conduct will include the use of loud or abusive language and music, interference with the rights of other people or behavior that prevents others from enjoying tailgating.
• No overnight occupancy is allowed in the designated tailgating areas.
• Participants in tailgating activities are expected to clean up their trash, douse hot coals in approved receptacles designated the by University.  Tents or canopies must be secured and may not obstruct sidewalks, drive lanes, handicapped spaces or pedestrian walkways.  Grills, propane or otherwise, should be attended to at all times.  Fires build on the ground and open fire pits devices are prohibited.
• Any person damaging University property will be responsible for the cost of repair.  The University is not responsible or liable for accidents, damage, loss or theft of materials/items/personal property left unattended.

In the spirit of sportsmanship, fans shall:
• Conduct themselves in a manner that represents Benedictine, the NACC and the NCAA with honor, dignity and respect
• Demonstrate qualities of civility and sportsmanship at all times
• Not use vulgar, abusive, racist, sexist, demeaning or intimidating language at any time
• Support the players, coaches and officials in a positive manner
• Treat the visiting team, coaches and fans with courtesy and respect at all times
• Not engage in cheers that are vulgar, crass or demeaning
• Refrain from throwing objects onto the field for any reason
• Not become inebriated or belligerent
• Refrain from entering playing and team areas at any time, including the conclusion of the game
• Be a positive role model for those around you by treating others with courtesy and respect!

Bag and Container Searches
• Searching the bags and containers of persons entering University events shall increase the safety and welfare of the students, employees and guests of the University.  Upon a decision being made for bag and container searches to be implemented at an event, the event coordinator shall be responsible for hiring an approved contract security service to hire security personnel to conduct bag and container searches at the gates or entrances of the event, or provide volunteer staff, trained by the University Police.
• Police Officers at the event shall be contacted in the event illegal contraband in discovered by security personnel.  The University will post signs at each entrance to the event, notifying all attendees that they are subject to search prior to entering the event and that their entrance may be denied, depending on their compliance with this policy.
• To determine if bag and container searches are warranted for an event, the Chief of University Police will review Resource 25's Event Security Assessment form and work in conjunction with the event coordinator regarding security needs and staffing.
• University Police are not authorized to conduct bag or container searches, unless they have probable cause to conduct searches, under the 4thAmendment of the Unites States Constitution.

• Inflatable's
• Artificial noisemakers
• Bags larger than 8.5" x 11"
• Chair back seats
• Coolers
• Folding chairs
• Outside food & drink containers
• Stadium cushions larger than 16"
• Pets
• Smoking
• Sticks/Poles (This includes pom poms on flags or sticks. Pom poms are required to have paddle handles instead of plastic sticks)
• Umbrellas
• Unauthorized banners or flags
• Any other items deemed hazardous by Game operations Personnel
