Jason Kroese became the Head Women’s Golf Coach at Benedictine University in June of 2013 and enters his third season at the helm in 2015-16. He comes to the program with large amounts of knowledge and passion for the sport of golf.
Benedictine placed sixth in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference in Kroese's first year at the helm in 2013-14.
Kroese graduated from Clarke College (now Clarke University) in Iowa in 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. A stand-out high school golfer and baseball player, Kroese competed in both sports in his time at Clarke. Upon graduating, Kroese began working at Emerald Hills Golf Course in his hometown of Okoboji, Iowa. From Grounds to Pro Shop, Kroese took on multiple roles in his time at Emerald Hills and learned from the course’s PGA Professional Instructor, giving him more knowledge about the game and a solid coaching foundation.
The Benedictine Athletics family is already familiar with Kroese, as he has been the department’s Rice Center Coordinator since 2011 and is currently working towards his Masters of Business Administration at the University.
