Benedictine University's men's and women's volleyball and men's and women's basketball teams play their home contests at the Dan and Ada Rice Center. Dedicated in 1977, full scale renovations of the Rice Center began in 2009 and were completed in the fall of 2011.

The $6.7 million project, which increased the size of the facility by 50 percent, includes an 11,000-square foot fitness facility, day lockers, offices, the Benedictine Hall of Fame, an executive suite, classroom, meeting areas and a state-of-the-art athletic training facility.

The renovations included replacing the basketball floor with a new, elevated hardwood competition floor. Other improvements to the competition facility include a new telescopic bleacher system with preferred seating, island baskets and a state-of-the-art scoreboard.

The competition facility was not the only thing to undergo a facelift. The Rice Center now houses a state of the art Fitness Center, featuring a 7,500-square foot cardio and circuit training area and a 5,200-square foot strength training area. The fitness Center also sports a yoga/pilates studio. View the Fitness Center facility HERE.

The Rice Center currently houses the entire athletic department offices while also showcasing an 'Eagles Legend Center' which is home to the Athletics Hall of Fame. There is also a conference center and a reception area in addition to locker rooms.

The Rice Center is adjacent to the Village of Lisle-Benedictine University Sports Complex, which features a baseball diamond, softball field and football/soccer stadium encircled by a nine-lane track. View the Sports Complex facility HERE.

The Rice Center is located at the corner of College Road and Maple Avenue, a main thoroughfare through the Lisle/Naperville corridor. It is easily accessible from two interstate highways (I-88 and I-355).
