Box Score

MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Benedictine men's soccer team opted for the dramatic on Wednesday evening, scoring a 2-1 win over Wisconsin Lutheran College by netting a goal with 20 seconds left in the match. The win upped the Eagles to 5-7 overall and 1-4 in the Northern Athletics Conference.

The Warriors led at halftime, 1-0, before Benedictine's Slavko Milicevic scored an unassisted goal in the 63rd minute of play to make it 1-1.

With the game clock at the 89:40 mark, BU newcomer Christopher Madro found the back of the net with his second goal of the year for the 2-1 final score.

Ironically, both of Madro's goals have been been match-deciding scores.

Junior goalie Jim Hanley started for the Eagles and had four saves and was charged with the goal in his first half stint. Junior transfer Orlando Esparza had six saves and pitched a shutout at CUC in the final 45 minute segment.
