BU drops 6-1 decision

Ryan Kozin scored his third goal of the season versus Concordia (Wis.).
Box Score

The Benedictine men's soccer team found itself under siege versus Concordia University (Wis.), losing by a 6-1 score in a Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) match. The loss kept the Eagles winless in the NAC at 0-3, with an overall mark of 3-6.

The visiting Falcons out-shot Benedictine by an 18-3 margin for the match. BU did not register its first shot attempt until the 71:59 minute mark.

At least the Eagles were able to make the most out of that initial shot, which ended up being a goal by Ryan Kozin off of a corner kick delivered by Cesar Martinez.  It was Kozin's third goal of the season.

Each of BU's goaltenders - starter Jim Hanley and then reserve Orlando Esparza - were touched up for three goals. Hanley had one save and Esparza two in the loss.

The Falcons scored just a little over two minutes into the match and built a 3-0 halftime cushion.
