Eagles Too Much for Warriors

LISLE, Ill. – The Benedictine University men's soccer team out-shot Wisconsin Lutheran College, 18-2 on Wednesday night to remain undefeated at home.
Robert Withington put the Eagles (6-5-1, 2-2-1) on the board early in the 5th minute when he found the back of the net off a blocked shot after Frank Aguilera's attempt was stopped by WLC's keeper, Chris Lorig.
The Benedictine offense hammered away at the Warriors, taking nine shots on goal including two from Geno Sepulveda and Aguilera.
Freshman Jesse Ortiz doubled the Eagles lead in the 61st minute off a cross from Alberto Mendez to secure Benedictine's 2-0 victory.
Eagles keeper, Jim Hanley had one save on the night while Lorig recorded seven.

The men's soccer team is back in action this weekend when they travel to Milwaukee School of Engineering for a 7:00 pm contest on Saturday, Oct. 9.
