Eagles Drop 1-0 Decision to Edgewood

LISLE, Ill. – The Benedictine University women's soccer team lost a 1-0 decision to Edgewood College on Saturday afternoon at the Village of Lisle-Benedictine University Sports Complex. 


The win gives Edgewood a 6-1 overall record while the loss drops the Eagles to 2-4 on the season.
Benedictine held Edgewood scoreless in the first half, with BenU keeper, Michelle Del Sarto tallying three saves. The Eagles offense took four shots on goal in the first half, but were held off by Kristi Frisch, the Edgewood keeper.
With just 20 minutes left in the game, EC's Kristina Santaga found the back of the net in the 71st minute, unassisted to give Edgewood the 1-0 victory over the Eagles.
Rachel Wilson, Nikki Jhanji, Melissa Swanson and Megan Johnson all had shots for the Eagles.

The Eagles are back in action on Tuesday, September 21 when they travel to Dominican for a 4:00 p.m. conference game.
