MEQUON, Wis. – Despite taking 14 shots during the second half, the Benedictine University women's soccer team battled to a 0-0 draw against Concordia University-Wisconsin on Saturday afternoon in Northern Athletics Conference action.
The Eagles (2-5-1, 1-3-1 NAC) goalkeeper,
Michelle Del Sarto had three saves in overtime to preserve the tie while the Eagles took two shots but could not find the back of the net. Del Sarto tallied four saves total.
Benedictine had plenty of chances to take a 1-0 lead, especially in the second half with Megan Johnson taking nine shots and Ale Farias with four, but CUW's keeper, Mary Ryan tallied five saves in the half.
Benedictine women's soccer returns to action on Wednesday, September 29 when they travel to Alverno College for a 4:30 p.m. contest.
