MILWAUKEE, Wis. - After taking a 1-0 lead at halftime, the Benedictine University men's soccer team scored another goal in the second half to defeat Wisconsin Lutheran College, 2-0, on Tuesday night in Northern Athletics Conference action.
Izzy Castro found
Mostafa Abdelrahman in the 37th minute for BenU's first goal of the game. The Eagles out-shot the Warriors 10-8 in the first half and continued their offensive threat into the second half.
Sam Odele found the back of the net after a cross from
Jesse Ortiz in the 71st minute to secure Benedictine's 2-0 win over WLC.
Ortiz and Abdelrahman led all players with five shots while
Orlando Esparza tallied four saves on the night.
The men's soccer team is back in action on Saturday afternoon when they travel to Marian University for a 12:00 p.m. contest.
