MILWAUKEE, Wis. -
Lindsay Prokaski scored two goals to help lead the Benedictine University women's soccer team to a 3-0 win over Wisconsin Lutheran College on Wednesday night in Northern Athletics Conference action.
The win moved the Eagles to 6-6-1 overall and 5-4 in NAC action while Wisconsin Lutheran falls to 2-12 on the year and 2-6 in the league.
Benedictine started the scoring off early with a goal from
Briana Grenke, assisted by
Nikki Jhanji in the 8th minute. The score would remain 1-0 through halftime until Prokaski picked up her first goal of the game in the 59th minute when she found the back of the net on a cross from
Ale Farias. Prokaski would score the final goal of the game in the 79th minute on an assist from
Lynzi Misuraca.
Jhanji and Grenke both had five shots on goal while Prokaski had three. The Eagle keeper
Michelle Del Sarto recorded five saves in the game.
As a team, BenU out-shot the Warriors 23-11. Niki Disalvo had two saves for WLC.
Women's soccer is back in action this weekend when they travel to Marian University for a 2:30 p.m. contest.
