RIVER FOREST, Ill. - The Benedictine University women's soccer team had a 1-0 lead going into half time but Concordia University-Chicago tied the game in the second half, forcing over-time. Both teams battled in two extra periods but could not score as BenU tied the Cougars, 1-1.
Lindsay Prokaski scored on her only shot of the game, a goal from 20-yards out right under the cross bar, to give BenU the 1-0 lead. The Eagles out-shot the Cougars 3-2 in the first half.
The Concordia offense came out on fire in the second half, taking eight shots and scoring in the 64th minute on a shot from Alyssa Soulis.
Both teams took several shots in the remaining time but could not find the back of the net, forcing an over-time. Neither team could pull off a shot in over-time.
Michelle Del Sarto tallied two saves while CUC keeper, Callie Hasselbring, had four saves.
