Men's Soccer Falls to MSOE in NAC Tournament

MILWAUKEE, Wis. - With the game tied after the 63rd minute, Milwaukee School of Engineering scored on a penalty kick to defeat the Benedictine University men's soccer team, 2-1, on Saturday night in the first round of the Northern Athletics Conference tournament.

The Raiders took a 1-0 lead in the 38th minute on a goal by Dan Hosko. The Eagles tallied three shots in the first half but could not score.

Both teams battled in the second half but it was Jesse Ortiz who found the back of the net in the 63rd minute on a cross from Mostafa Abdelrahman to tie the game.

With under two minutes left in regulation, the Eagles had a foul in the box which allowed Hosko to score the game winning goal on a penalty kick in the 89th minute for the win.

Ortiz and Abdelrahman each had two shots in the game while the BenU keeper, Orlando Esparza, tallied eight saves in the match.
