LISLE, Ill. – The Benedictine University men's soccer team took a 1-0 lead in the 42
nd minute of their match against Lake Forest College but the Foresters scored two second half goals to defeat the Eagles 2-1 on Tuesday night at the Sports Complex.
Mostafa Abdelrahman scored his second goal of the season, unassisted in the 42
nd minute to put BenU up 1-0. The Eagles and Foresters each took eight shots in the first half and the Eagle's keeper, Manny Martinez, had three saves.
In the 64
th minute, LFC's Stephen Egan tied the game on a cross from Alexi Spiratos. Just four minutes later Lake Forest would score the game winner on a shot from Chris Thompson.
Benedictine is back in action on Saturday afternoon when they travel to MacMurray College for a 3:00 p.m. contest.
