Women's Soccer Falls to Nationally Ranked Conference Leaders

LISLE, Ill. - The Benedictine University women's soccer team suffered its third consecutive defeat in conference play, falling to Aurora 4-0 on Wednesday.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 12th minute. Aurora kept the pressure on for most of the opening 45 minutes but scored just the one goal. Benedictine was able to create a few chances in the second half but Aurora still tacked on three additional tallies to produce the final. The first of the three goals came in the first minute of the half.

Candace Rogers posted 11 saves in goal. Kristy Frampton entered for the first time this season and stopped three shots. Aurora (12-0-1, 8-0) is the conference leader and presently is ranked 13th in the nation.

Benedictine (5-6-1, 4-3) hits the road Saturday to face Concordia Wisconsin at 1:00 p.m.
