Men's Soccer Comes Up Short in Wisconsin

Box Score

MEQUON, Wis. - The Benedictine University men's soccer team put forth a solid effort but fell on the road to Concordia Wisconsin 2-0 on Saturday.

"I was happy with the effort for a majority of the match," head coach Rich Nassif stated. "It was a tight contest and we got started a little slow but received some solid performances and have the potential for a strong finish over the final five matches of the season."

The hosts grabbed the lead less than four minutes into the contest. A penalty kick in the 79th minute allowed the insurance goal to score. Concordia Wisconsin held a 20-7 edge in shots. Zorohn Reed stopped six shots in goal.

Benedictine (2-10, 2-4 NAC) will play three straight at home beginning Wednesday evening against Wisconsin Lutheran at 7:00 p.m.
