MEQUON, Wis. - The Benedictine University men's soccer team put forth a solid effort but fell on the road to Concordia Wisconsin 2-0 on Saturday.
"I was happy with the effort for a majority of the match," head coach
Rich Nassif stated. "It was a tight contest and we got started a little slow but received some solid performances and have the potential for a strong finish over the final five matches of the season."
The hosts grabbed the lead less than four minutes into the contest. A penalty kick in the 79th minute allowed the insurance goal to score. Concordia Wisconsin held a 20-7 edge in shots.
Zorohn Reed stopped six shots in goal.
Benedictine (2-10, 2-4 NAC) will play three straight at home beginning Wednesday evening against Wisconsin Lutheran at 7:00 p.m.
