Box Score LISLE, Ill. - The Benedictine University men's soccer team dropped a 4-0 non-conference decision to the preseason co-favorite of the CCIW, Carthage, on Tuesday night at The Sports Complex.
The Eagles fell behind early again, allowing Carthage (4-1) to find the back of the net in the eighth minute. The Red Men put the close contest away with three consecutive goals in the span of less than 10 minutes midway through the second half.
Benedictine (0-5) did not put a shot on goal as Carthage held a 15-3 edge.
Zorohn Reed stopped four shots between the pipes.
Benedictine University-Springfield will be the next opponent as part of homecoming weekend on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. The match will put an end to a streak of three consecutive home matches.
