Box Score LISLE, Ill. - The Benedictine University men's soccer team lost its homecoming game 3-2 to Benedictine University-Springfield.

BenU-Springfield opened a 2-0 lead with goals in the first half. The Eagles battled back with goals 18 minutes apart early in the second half. Edgar Reyes scored on a penalty kick in the 51st minute while Alberto Mendez struck in the 69th minute on a feed from Joe Yarshen. The visitors tallied the win in the 80th minute with the game winner.

Reyes posted four shots as did Bryin Venegas. Benedictine posted 20 shots in the defeat. Julio Lopez also registered three shots.
Benedictine (0-5) will face Maranatha on the road to open conference play at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday.
