Box Score 2 LISLE, Ill. - The Benedictine University volleyball team dropped its first four sets of the season but still improved to 11-0 on the season with a pair of five set wins in the Red & Black Triangular as part of the homecoming festivities.
Benedictine fell behind 2-0 to North Central after falling 25-23 and 26-24 but rallied to win three consecutive sets 25-22, 25-21, and 15-12.
Nicole Adams led the comeback charge with 15 kills.
Mailani Burton added 11 kills in the win. Abby Sattler distributed 48 assists while
Molly Kovacich posted 20 digs to pace the defense.
The second match was nearly the polar oppostie as the Eagles won the first two sets easily 25-15 and 25-16 before dropping consecutive sets to Lake Forest, who forced a fifth and deciding set for the triangular. Adams again led the charge with 11 kills while Jacki Kaluzy kicked in 10. Sattler posted 41 assists with 17 digs.
The matches were the first regular season home matches at the Rice Center in two seasons.
Benedictine will host Aurora on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m.
