Box Score LISLE, Ill. - The Benedictine University women's soccer team needed less than 24 hours to rebound from a tough loss, blanking Rockford 4-0 on Wednesday to improve to 3-0 in conference play.
Benedictine set the tone early and held a commanding edge in shots. After minutes of pressing, the first goal came on a penalty kick in the 27th minute. 
Nikki Jhanji converted with the first of two goals in the match. Just under 15 minutes later Jhanji stretched the margin to 2-0 with a finder on a feed from Kathryn Lipka to complete a breakaway.
The Eagles (4-3-1, 3-0) banged out 29 shots in the second 45 minutes and added two more goals to put away the visitors. 
Tara Tarazoff netted her second of the season on a rebound in the 55th minute while 
Maricruz Zarco also registered her second of the season in the 61st minute. For the match, Benedictine outshot Rockford (0-6, 0-4) 41-2. Candace Rogers made a save in goal to record the fourth shutout of the season for the Eagles, who have recorded points in five of the last six matches.
Benedictine hits the road on Saturday with a trip to Wisconsin to face Lakeland in a 1:00 p.m. affair.
