Box Score RIVER FOREST, Ill. - Nikki Jhanji tallied the lone goal as the Benedictine University women's soccer team dropped its first conference match of the season, falling 2-1 to Dominican on the road Tuesday.
Jhanji's finder came in the 81st minute, slipping through a pair of defenders to beat the goalie on the ground inside the near post. The goal was her team leading seventh of the year. Dominican opened a 2-0 lead with goals in the second half in the 51st minute and the 67th minute.
Dominican (5-5, 4-1) doubled up the Eagles in shots, 16-8 with eight in each half. Candace Rogers made five saves in goal for Benedictine.
The Eagles (5-4-1, 4-1) return home on Saturday afternoong to meet Edgewood at 4:30 p.m.
