Women's Soccer Downed at MSOE

MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Benedictine University women's soccer team suffered a 5-0 loss at MSOE on Saturday afternoon in NACC action.

MSOE scored in just the fourth minute to open a 1-0 lead on a cross that was redirected into the net. The hosts made it 2-0 just under 20 minutes later and added a third goal just before the half to open a 3-0 lead. Benedictine had several first half attempts but kept having shots blocked.

The Raiders (8-6, 5-1), one of the top teams in the NACC, tacked on two goals in the second half to account for the final tally on unassisted attempts. The last goal came in the final minute of the match.

Benedictine did manage eight shots in the match, putting two on goal. Nikki Jhanji notched five shots in the defeat and put one on target. Meagan Johnson also finished with a pair of shots. Abby Gary made three saves in goal.

Benedictine (4-9-1, 2-4-1) returns home following four consecutive road matches to welcome Concordia University Chicago on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m.
