LISLE, Ill. - The Benedictine University men's soccer team was beaten for the first time in NACC play, falling 4-0 to Aurora University on Thursday.

The early portions of the contest were very even. Zorohn Reed made a save in the 12th minute and again in the 14th minute to deny early chances for Aurora. Aurora scored twice in the first half, opening the scoring in the 30th minute. The visitors struck again in the 33rd minute on a long breakaway run.

Saul Mancilla had a shot on goal in the 70th minute that was halted. A quick counter attack led to the third Aurora tally. Benedictine also had a shot hit the post. The fourth goal came across in the 86th minute. Jon Rosenbaum scored three of the four goals for Aurora. Reed made five saves in goal as Aurora held a 16-7 edge in shots. Ante Markotic tallied two shots for Benedictine.

The loss halted an eight match unbeaten mark in conference play. Benedictine had surrendered just five goals in the first eight conference contests.

Benedictine (8-7-1, 7-1-1) can still earn a share of the conference title and the top seed in the NACC Tournament with a victory over Marian at home in the final conference match on Saturday.
