LISLE, Ill. - The Benedictine University women's lacrosse team officially opened play on Saturday, dropping a home contest to Alma 18-1 at the Sports Complex.
Alma built a 9-0 lead in the first half before
Annette Dzielski scored a historic goal, the first in program history.
Tricia Baluyut registered 14 saves in goal. Dzielski recorded seven of the 13 shots for Benedictine.
Benedictine (0-1) is off until March 12 when the University of Dubuque visits at 7:00 p.m.
