Women's Soccer Blanks Wisconsin Lutheran

LISLE, Ill. - The Benedictine University women's soccer team controlled the contest in securing a 5-0 shutout of Wisconsin Lutheran College at home on Saturday night.

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine tallied three goals in the first half and two in the second
• Jackie Elzakhem scored three times with Taylor Pokorny adding two
• Elzakhem scored the first goal on a penalty kick in the 12th minute
• Less than three minutes later Pokorny drove home a feed from Daniela Nieto
• Before the game, seniors Jackie Elzakhem, Allison Lambert, Danielle Rohling, Morgan Spiegel, and Keelin Valenti were honored
• All five seniors started
• The shutout marked the second in conference play for Benedictine and the fourth of the season
• Wisconsin Lutheran has been shutout in three consecutive contests and has been involved in 10 shutouts this season

STAT LEADERS
•
Benedictine allowed just one shot in the entire contest, holding a 26-1 edge with 18 on goal
• In addition to scoring two goals, Pokorny added an assist
• Nieto assisted on two finders and finished with six shots, three on goal
• Elzakhem led the team with seven shots while Zoie Holloway added six
• Maddie Frye stopped the only shot she faced in goal
