On Saturday, the Benedictine University women's track and field team competed in the ONU Quad at Olivet Nazarene University. The Eagles placed sixth down in Bourbonnais.
In the pole vault,
Brittany Holst broke her own school record for the second week in a row. The junior transfer placed fifth in the event with a mark of 3.40m.
Megan Malone also continued her strong start to the season, placing third in a pair of throwing events. The junior came in at 15.13m in the weight throw and 12.55m in the shot put.
The Eagles also stood out on the track, particularly in the mile event. Sophomore
Elizabeth Deely placed seventh at 5:51.91, while freshman
Tatiana Arturo was not far behind. The Naperville native placed eighth with a time of 5:51.92.
"The women had a great meet, setting both school and personal records," said Director of Track and Field and Cross Country
Kevin Paterson. "

Women's Track and Field is back in action on Friday at North Central College, as the team will compete in the Chicagoland Championships. The event is set to begin at 11:00 a.m.
