FULL RESULTSThe Benedictine University women's track and field team placed host to the Eagle Invitational on Saturday at the Village of Lisle/Benedictine University Sports Complex. BenU placed 11th in the large meet.Â
Megan Malone continued her strong 2015 with a second-place finish in the hammer throw (48.00m) and a sixth-place finish in the shot put (12.19m). Also in the throws,
Lauren Burish put forth a strong effort in the discus, placing 16th at 34.07m. In addition,
Brittany Holst place ninth in the pole vault (3.19m) and 11th in the high jump (1.50m).
On the track,
Nicole Millard had one of her strongest meets of her career, placing 22nd in the 100m (13.32s) and 25th in the 200m (27.57s).
Julie Carroll stood out in the distance runs, placing 19th in the 800m (2:29.78) and 36th in the 1500m (5:03.73).
BenU is back in action on Saturday, April 18 at Wheaton College for an 11:00 a.m. meet.
