LISLE, Ill. - The Benedictine University women's soccer team opened play in the NACC by notching a 3-1 home win over Concordia University Chicago.

• Benedictine built a 3-0 lead by scoring three times in the second half after the opening 45 minutes did not produce a goal
• Concordia Chicago was picked to finish ahead of Benedictine in the preseason NACC Poll
• Danielle Melotte opened the scoring in the 50th minute on a penalty kick
• Two of the goals, from Jackie Elzakhem and Zoie Holloway, were scored from long distance on set pieces
• All four combined goals scored in the contest were unassisted
