RIPON, Wis. - The Benedictine University women's soccer team improved to 2-1 on the season by tallying a 3-1 decision on the road at Ripon College, handing the hosts their first defeat of the year.
Benedictine was able to overcome a 1-0 early deficit behind a pair of goals from 
Zoie Holloway. Ripon scored just over two minutes into the contest, but Holloway evened the score in the 27th minute. Holloway struck again just over six minutes later and Benedictine held the lead for the remainder of the match. 
Daniela Nieto scored in the 58th minute to account for the final.
Benedictine held an 18-5 advantage in shots. Nieto tallied six shots with Holloway adding four and 
Taylor Pokorny three. 
Maddie Frye stopped two shots in net.
Benedictine plays at home for the first time on Wednesday against Illinois Wesleyan at 7:00 p.m.
