WAUKESHA, WI - The Benedictine University women's soccer team faced another challenging opponent and suffered a 1-0 setback in overtime on Saturday night.

THE DETAILS
• The game was played virtually even throughout the night
• Shots came virtually in succession back and forth
• Sabie Ramirez and
Daniela Nieto had chances three minutes apart that were both denied by the Carroll keeper
• Carroll had a frantic chance late in the second half but
Cassidy Henson halted a pair of attempts to keep the match scoreless
• Taylor Pokorny produced the last opportunity in the final minutes of regulation
• The game-winning goal came in the closing seconds of the first overtime on a scramble following a free kick

"This loss stings," head coach
Mike Boland said. "As a team, we need to do a better job of making sure these overtime games start swinging in our favor. At the end of the day, it was a great college soccer game. Both sides were spirited and left it out there."
