RIVER FOREST, IL - The Benedictine University men's soccer team had a late flurry come short in a loss to second-seeded Dominican University in the NACC Tournament semifinals.

Dominican 2, Benedictine 1
• Both teams were able to generate offense early in the contest
• Dominican struck first in the 14th minute of the match
• A slotted pass to the top of the box resulted in a tap-in to open the scoring
• It did not take long for Benedictine to respond, tying the game in the 17th minute
• Erik Stammer netted his 14th goal of the season, converting on a pair of quick passes from Carlos Gallardo and
Nick Kapetanos to slide home the equalizer into the back side
• The remainder of the opening 45 minutes played even
• Benedictine created attempts in the 21st and 22nd minute with a Kapetanos shot blocked and a Gallardo blast denied by a defender, saving the potential go-ahead tally
• Dominican missed high on a last second attempt before the break
• The second-seeded hosts strung together early chances in the second half with a corner and two shots, one of which was saved by
