RIVER FOREST, IL - The Benedictine University men's soccer team lost for the first time in conference play, suffering a one-goal defeat at the hands of Dominican University on the road Wednesday afternoon.

• Dominican wasted no time in opening the scoring
• Shawn Chervets denied a free kick in the third minute but allowed a rebound
• Dominican picked up the rebound and put it into the open net
• Hayden Van Son produced the first chance for Benedictine in the eighth minute, a header on target that was saved
