FULL RESULTS
WHEATON, IL - Playing in a final tuneup before the NACC Championships, the Benedictine University men's golf team won a duel with Dominican on Tuesday.
Benedictine took the first three slots with
Nathan Hermsen notching a 79,
Donnie Rollins an 80 and
Jordan Velez an 82. Hermsen logged birdies on the first and 10th while tallying eight pars. Hermsen opened with a 38 and came back in a 41. Rollins notched one birdie and 10 pars, carding a 39 and a 41. Velez posted two birdies and seven pars. Newcomer
Jens Soderholm birdied two holes while
Brad Riva also picked up a birdie on the 13th.
The weather has forced Benedictine to cancel most of the spring schedule. Tuesday's event marked the first competition since the fall. Benedictine next plays at the NACC Championships, hosted by Aurora, at Stonebridge Country Club on Sunday and Monday. The team was sitting in eighth following the fall portion of the event.
