LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University men's soccer team finished the non-conference schedule by dropping a fast-paced contest with visiting North Central in the second of five consecutive home contests.

• Continuing a bust slate that will feature four games in eight days, Benedictine put on early pressure
• Santiago Beltran put a shot on target in the second minute of the contest
• North Central struck first, striking in the 16th minute following a long run
• Benedictine instantly countered as attempts from
Aldreiron Smith and

• Van Son and Smith helped to set up the tying goal in the 20th minute when
Erik Stammer re-directed a cross on a breakaway

• A fluky bounce in the 64th minute helped North Central stake a 2-1 edge
• Beltran scored his first goal of the year, converting on a penalty kick in the 67th minute to even the score
• The game-winner came in the 69th minute on the collection of a blocked shot
