THE DETAILS
•
Benedictine created the first four shots of the match, all coming from different individuals
• Graham, Katie Farb, Sabie Ramirez and Kayleigh Sommer all produced chances within a 10-minute sequence early
• Benedictine did not have another shot the remainder of the half but held stout on defense to deny seven attempts from the hosts, three of which were on goal
• The second half started similar to the first with Benedictine creating several chances but unable to strike
• Three more individuals took shots including Eve Meintz, Katy Fredericksen and Stephanie Nichols
• The first goal of the afternoon finally happened in the 56th minute
• A foul just outside the box set up a free kick for Graham, who drove home the goal past the CUC defense into the left corner (HIGHLIGHT COURTESY OF CUC)
• Just over 10 minutes later, Graham converted again, beating a defender on the right wing to angle a blast inside the far post (HIGHLIGHT COURTESY OF CUC)
• Benedictine hit the post twice in the final minute on a counter attack
• The win marked the first in shutout fashion this year
• Cassidy Henson recorded seven saves in net during the shutout
• Benedictine tallied 10 shots in the second half and finished with a 14-13 edge in the up-tempo affair

FROM THE COACH

"The team responded well in the second half to allow us to win the game. This is a great start to conference play and look forward to using the momentum moving forward."
