Men's Soccer Season Ends in NACC Championship

RIVER FOREST, IL - The Benedictine University men's soccer team saw a successful season come to an end in the NACC Championship, falling to top-seeded Dominican.

THE DETAILS
•
Dominican scored an early goal, striking in the seventh minute
• Lukasz Sulka was denied on a chance to tie the game in the 33rd minute
• The defense held strong through much of the half
• Dominican extended the lead to 2-0 in the final minute of the half
• The wheels came off in the second half as Dominican made the most of opportunities to earn a return trip to the NCAA Tournament
• Hayden Van Son had a shot stopped in the 47th minute but Dominican countered in the 49th minute to lead 3-0
• A red card in the 57th minute put Benedictine down a man the rest of the way and three goals in rapid succession put the brakes on the season
