CHICAGO, IL - The Benedictine University women's soccer team won for the first time in 2019, shutting down North Park on the road Wednesday night.

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine put the pressure on early but were caught offsides three times in the first 15 minutes
• Cassidy Henson came up with a big early save
• Following another offside, Benedictine was finally able to break though in the 25th minute
• Taylor Healy set up Abbie Graham for the first goal of the season
• After halftime, Jennifer Garcia found the back of the net in the 55th minute to stretch the lead to 2-0
• The goal marked the first of Garcia's collegiate career
• Benedictine kept attacking and put the game away with another goal in the 84th minute when Stephanie Nichols converted on a free kick
• Both teams posted 17 shots in the contest with Benedictine putting 13 on goal
• Henson made eight saves in her second consecutive shutout
• Graham logged five shots with four on goal
• Nichols and Katie Farb tallied three shots apiece
