We win as a team, and we lose as a team. As members of Benedictine University Athletics, we recognize that we have spent too many years losing in the fight for racial justice. Some of us have experienced the pain of racism firsthand, both on and off the field. Some of us have stood on the sidelines while this has happened to our teammates, colleagues and friends. Today, we commit to rise together to tackle racial injustice head-on. We commit to use the same skills we have learned as athletes in our respective sports in this endeavor— hard work, dedication, determination and persistence. We recognize that we each have our own unique talents to bring to the fight but that teamwork is the only way we can win. We will not give up. We will stand united. We are Benedictine. And, together, we rise.

As a Benedictine University Athletic community, we commit to being more than just student-athletes, coaches, athletic trainers and administrators. We commit to:
