- MSOE tallied the first goal in the 19th minute after the teams consistently traded possession early
- Victoria Alvarado recorded the first Benedictine shot in the 29th minute, putting an attempt on goal
- MSOE converted on a penalty kick in the 37th minute to extend the lead to 2-0
- Shelby Mepham put a shot on goal in the 44th minute but MSOE struck in the closing moments to make it a 3-0 edge at halftime
