RIVER FOREST, IL - The Benedictine University men's soccer team saw their season come to an end in the conference semifinals on Tuesday afternoon.

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine set the pace early, creating several chances
• Hayden Van Son, Michal Szaflaski and
Yusuf Sahin all had shots on goal but could not score in the opening 20 minutes
• Dominican scored a pair of goals five minutes apart midway through the half to open a 2-0 lead
• Benedictine was able to strike quickly in the second half when Van Son drove home a shot in the 49th minute but Dominican answered quickly, extending the lead to two goals again at 3-1 less than three minutes later
• A penalty kick pushed the lead to 4-1 in the 71st minute and the hosts tacked on another in the 79th to account for the final in a game that was closer than the final

• Benedictine produced 11 corner kicks
• Van Son tallied three shots to lead Benedictine, who put four shots on target
