LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University women's soccer team opened the season with a loss to Dubuque in a non-conference contest.

THE DETAILS
• Just over 10 minutes into the contest Dubuque was awarded a penalty kick
• The visitors converted on the attempt to nab a 1-0 lead just 11:55 into the contest
• Dubuque made it 2-0 moments later at the 14:43 mark
• Benedictine kept playing solid defense and kept Dubuque from furthering the lead
• Taylor Healy scored the first goal of the season in the 36th minute, drawing Benedictine within 2-1
• Benedictine continued to play strong on defense until Dubuque pressed ahead in the final 10 minutes to add an insurance goal, making the score 3-1 in the 85th minute
