LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University men's soccer team handed Dominican University their first loss of the season on Wednesday night at home.

THE DETAILS
• The build-up started before the match when the lone senior,
Lukasz Sulka, was honored
• Sulka scored over 30 goals in his career
• The senior got in the act early
• Just over two minutes into the game
Yusuf Sahin served a ball towards the box that was headed forward by
Hayden Van Son to Sulka, who blasted home the first goal
• Dominican scored late in the first half to tie the game headed to the half
• The visitors took the lead for the first time in the 59th minute
• The lead was short lived as Benedictine evened the slate just over a minute later

Michal Szaflarski and guided into the goal for the winner in the 62nd minute
• The defense locked in tight and prevented several Dominican advances to grab the win
• The victory marked a third in a row for Benedictine, who is unbeaten in the last four matches
• Dominican won a 2-1 decision earlier this year with a goal in the final two minutes and was unbeaten in 20 straight conference contests
