RIVER FOREST, IL - The Benedictine University women's soccer team advanced to the South Division final by winning a shootout at Concordia Chicago following a draw.

THE DETAILS
- Concordia Chicago applied early pressure, notching three straight shots in just over a minute
- Katie Farb recorded the first Benedictine shot in the 22nd minute
- Holly Ward and Jordan Leonard put shots on goal late in the first half
- Both teams created chances regularly in the second half but both goalies remained strong
- Benedictine did not record a shot in the first extra session
- Benedictine put three shots on goal in the second 10 minutes
- Mary Frederick made a pair of saves in the final minute to preserve the scoreless draw
- Concordia Chicago went first in the shootout and scored
- Benedictine did not miss in the penalty kick chances as Stephanie Nichols tied the shootout and after a miss Ward put Benedictine ahead
- With the score tied at 2-2, Farb stepped up and converted and after a save from Frederick, Cali Carl clinched the win
