LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University men's soccer team capped the first weekend of conference play by edging past Concordia Wisconsin at home.

THE DETAILS
- Neither team was able to score in a back-and-forth opening 45 minutes of play
- Benedictine created plenty of chances in the opening 15 minutes of the second half
- Tomasz Kulak had an attempt saved while David Szaflarski and Omar Barragan both also created opportunities
- Mike Bassier broke through in the 60th minute with the first goal
- Concordia Wisconsin was able to tie the contest less than five minutes later
- Following a corner kick late, Hayden Van Son was able to poke home the winner in the 84th minute
