The Benedictine University men's soccer team saw their season come to an end in the championship match of the NACC Tournament, falling 4-0 at Aurora after the hosts scored three times in the second half to pull away.
Aurora took the lead in just the eighth minute of the contest, converting on a corner kick. Benedictine created plenty of opportunities to counter quickly but could not score going into the half down a goal. The tempo of the contest increased in the second and Benedictine again created chances but Aurora extended the lead in the 62nd minute. The final two goals of the contest came in the final five minutes of the match.
Benedictine finished with 10 shots with five on goal.
Sergio Valencia recorded four saves in the match.
