The Benedictine University men's soccer team went toe-to-toe with the fourth ranked team in the region but suffered a 3-1 loss at home on Wednesday night.
All of the goals from Edgewood came on blasts from distance. The visitors scored with under two minutes to go in the opening 45 to take the lead and added markers in the 74th and 76th minutes.
Roberto Castillo poked home the lone goal for Benedictine in the 80th minute.
Jordan Rolon stopped six shots in goal.
Thomas Suchecki recorded a pair of shots for Benedictine.
Benedictine (5-4-1, 3-2 NACC) hosts Rockford on Wednesday night.
