A goal with under two minutes remaining sent the Benedictine University women's soccer team to a loss at Edgewood.
The defense was standing tall all night despite repeated attempts from the hosts until the 88:40 mark of the match when the lone tally scored. Edgewood totaled 31 shots, but Katherin Prochnow stopped 14 shots in goal.
Benedictine (0-9-1, 0-4-1) will host UW-Whitewater on Sunday in a non-conference match.
