The Benedictine University women's volleyball team was picked to finish sixth in the preseason poll released by the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference on Thursday.

Edgewood was named as the favorite, racking up 18 first place votes and 374 points. Benedictine received 247 points, just behind Lakeland, who accumulated 253.

The poll is voted on by head coaches and athletics communication offices.

Benedictine opens the year at Marian University on August 29 with a non-conference match against Wheaton. The home opener occurs on September 3 with the conference opener at Concordia Wisconsin on September 25.
