Leilani Gawne reeled in a 27-yard touchdown pass with 32 seconds left in the game as the Benedictine University flag football team won for the first time in program history, besting North Park 24-19.
The heroics came after North Park scored and converted on a one-point conversion to take the lead with just over two minutes remaining. The play also came on a fourth down attempt.
Weronika Zeliszckak ran for 168 yards and three touchdowns in the win.
Meena Bridgewater finished with 10 flag pulls and
Lorraine Sullivan added eight.
