Welcome to Benedictine University! Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions, concerns or special accommodations. The athletic training room is located adjacent to the main basketball court.

Pre- and Post-Event Coverage:
• An Athletic Trainer will be available 1 1/2 hours prior to event start time in the athletic training room
• An Athletic Trainer will be available for 1/2 hour post-event


Sideline Supplies - All Sports:
• An adequate amount of water at each event (e.g., 5-10 gallon coolers that can be refilled
• An adequate number of disposable cups will be provided for each team
• At least one cooler with ice bags
• Readily available emergency equipment (e.g., crutches, splint tape, AED) on site


Therapeutic Modalities For Visiting Athletic Teams
• Treatments will be limited to the use of ice and moist heat
• If your team is traveling without a Certified Athletic Trainer, a written prescription or email from your institution's Certified Athletic Trainer or Team Physician will be required for all therapeutic modalities except ice and moist heat.  Please contact us ahead of time if your team is traveling without a Certified Athletic Trainer so that we can plan appropriately for your team's needs
• For your convenience, water, cups, injury ice and biohazard supplies will be provided in your bench area and locker room. If you need additional supplies, please contact us
• For home football games, our Team Physician or his designee (Orthopedic Surgeon) will be in attendance.  For all other contests, our Team Physician is on-call.  Vacuum splints, basic airway kit, crutches and other splinting/ambulatory supplies will be available, as needed. 
• If you need additional information from our staff, please don't hesitate to contact us

 
Ultrasound and Electrical Stimulation will only be available to visiting teams that provide a note that includes the parameters for all treatments.
 
Visiting teams traveling without a Certified Athletic Trainer are requested to call or e-mail the Head Athletic Trainer 24 hours in advance in order to inform us of any special treatment/taping needs. We ask that each traveling team bring a fully stocked Medical Kit in order to service the visiting athletes
